Blackboard FAQs

You can access Blackboard from any computer with an Internet connection — log in with the same username and password you use for your DSU email.

  • Courses not showing or needing removal: The system automatically updates Blackboard with your Banner courses; changes in Banner are reflected within 24 hours.
  • Registering for an online class: Register the same way as traditional classes — through Banner. Go to myDESU and log in; registered classes load automatically onto Blackboard.
  • Unable to log in? Contact the IT Help Desk at 302.857.7028 or visit the BOA Building, Room 313. For other Blackboard issues, contact blackboard [at] desu.edu or visit William C. Jason Library, Suite 600.

Blackboard's Community Engagement feature makes organizations available in Blackboard Learn. An organization looks like a course, with a menu, a home page, and tools such as announcements and discussions.
