The Navigate application helps you engage with students in various capacities related to academic advisement. Faculty mentors primarily submit Ad Hoc alerts; those alerts and reports are used to improve student support and retention while guiding students throughout their educational experience.

1 — Navigate Access: Logging into the System

You can access Navigate on the web directly at desu.campus.eab.com, or:

  1. Go to desu.edu.
  2. Click the Faculty tab to reach the Faculty landing page.
  3. Click "Academic Early Alert System — EAB Navigate."
  4. Log in with your DESU credentials at the single sign-on page.
  5. You are now on the Navigate platform — take time to explore.

2 — Issuing an Ad Hoc Alert

Ad hoc alerts let faculty and staff share critical information and create referrals for students between support offices. To create one:

  1. On your home page, click "Issue an Alert" under the "Actions" tab to open the Alert Banner.
  2. Search for the student the alert is about, select your reason for the alert, and optionally select the related class.
  3. Include "Additional Comments" to help support officers understand the student's needs and how to help.
  4. Click Submit.
